Monaco Telecom unveils 5G mobile network with Huawei

China-based telecom equipment Huawei is powering Monaco Telecom’s 5G mobile network that was unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show.

Engineers of Monaco Telecom have already installed the first antennas to support 5G mobile in the pilot area of Port Hercule. The 5G network will be ready to welcome the first smartphones in 2019.

“The 5G network will be a key driver for digital economy and for the development of the smart-city,” Martin Peronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, said.
