Samsung selects NetFront Living Connect for DLNA Certified devices

Telecom Lead Asia: ACCESS, a provider of software for
mobile market, announced that Samsung Electronics has selected NetFront Living
Connect to provide its Optical SMART Hub optical disc drive with connectivity
to DLNA Certified devices.

 

Adopting ACCESS’ DLNA Technology Component(TM) means our
customers will be able to use the Optical SMART Hub to effortlessly connect and
share content with a huge variety of smart devices. We are pleased to be
working with such an experienced partner and are confident that end users will
reap the benefits of our collaboration,” said Won Kim, senior vice president of
Samsung’s ODD R&D.

 

Samsung’s optical SMART Hub and NetFront solution will
allow end users to stream their CDs and DVDs directly onto their connected
devices and enjoy the audio and video content anywhere.

 

Samsung’s SE-208BW is the first in the Optical SMART Hub
line-up to have interoperability with DLNA Certified devices, and also provides
file back-up and CD and DVD writing functionality.

NetFront Living Connect is a DLNA Technology Component
solution which enables users to access their digital content across any device
within the connected home media network.

 

NetFront Living Connect is optimized for embedded devices
and features high portability and a flexible modularity that allow it to
function with any OS or CPU while also providing for easy customization.

 

Recently, Pantech,
Korea’s mobile phone manufacturers selected ACCESS’ NetFront Living Connect
solution for use in its new Android powered Element tablet.
