Orange expands Netflix video content to all countries

Orange for mobile phone usersTelecom operator Orange will supply Netflix video content in all countries where it has presence.

Orange Group’s subsidiaries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East will distribute Netflix video in the future.

Orange, which has presence in 29 countries, has been a Netflix distributor in France since 2014 and recently in Spain.

Netflix will be offered to Orange Poland customers in the coming months as part of its TV offers.  Other launches will follow in 2018.

“We aim to offer the best content to our customers,” said Stephane Richard, chairman and chief executive officer of Orange, “That is why we were the first to distribute Netflix in France, back in October 2014, and this new agreement allows us to strengthen our ambition at an international level.”

With sales of 40.9 billion euros in 2016, Orange has a customer base of 269 million, including 207 million mobile customers and 19 million fixed broadband customers.
