TE Connectivity sells CPD biz to Littelfuse for $350 mn

TE Connectivity announced deal to sell its Circuit Protection Devices (CPD) business to Littelfuse for $350 million.

The sale of CPD is part of its strategy to focus on harsh environment connectivity and sensor solutions market, said TE Connectivity in a statement on Monday.

Earlier, TE Connectivity sold its telecom business to CommScope.

TE’s CPD business serves telecommunications, mobile computing, industrial, automotive and battery industries.

TE Connectivity has generated revenues of approximately $190 million from CPD business in fiscal year 2015. The headquarter of the CPD business of TE Connectivity is in Menlo Park, California. It has manufacturing facilities in Tsukuba, Japan and Shanghai and Kunshan, China.
