Novatrend builds Cloud services with CA Technologies platform

By Telecom Lead Team: CA Technologies
announced that Novatrend, a Swiss managed service provider (MSP), has
selected the CA AppLogic turnkey cloud computing platform to launch
new cloud services.

The CA AppLogic platform provides a cost-effective, scalable
path for rapid cloud delivery by enabling customers to design, test and deploy
complex cloud solutions for end users in less time than build-from-scratch
cloud solutions.

“The economies of scale created by implementing the CA
AppLogic platform are enormous -for both enterprises and MSPs. Novatrend’s
customers should benefit from the platform’s high performance, reliability, and
scalability,” said Manfred Eierle, vice president, Area Sales
for Switzerland, CA Technologies.

Novatrend launched Novacloud, a scalable, cloud-hosting service
based on the CA AppLogic platform in September last year.

The cloud-hosting service based on the CA AppLogic platform
enables users to easily design and deliver virtual business services in a
matter of hours instead of days or months.

The platform gives Novatrend customers constant access to a
portal where, with a click of the mouse, they can adjust resources and capacity
to meet their business needs. With Novacloud, users only pay for the capacity
that they use.

“The CA AppLogic platform provides faster provisioning of
applications, which allows us to more rapidly deliver services, while
minimizing our go-to-market costs,” said Michael Brunner, co-founder and chief
technology officer of Novatrend.

Recently, CA Technologies announced the addition of new features and functionality to the
Cloud Commons ecosystem.

The new features include Cloud Commons Marketplace that
facilitates the buying and selling of cloud services and content, and the Cloud
Commons Developer Studio, for planning, building and testing cloud-based
software solutions.
