Sprint brings transparency with All-In Wireless for $80 offer

Sprint today openly challenged its rivals by launching its All-In Wireless for $80 per month that offers a wireless device, unlimited talk, text and data.

The SoftBank-promoted Sprint aims to take on T-Mobile US, Verizon and AT&T with the latest plan in the American wireless market. Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure talks about transparency for wireless users in the saturated market.

With All-In, consumers pay $20 per month to lease smartphone, and $60 per month for unlimited text, talk and data while on the Sprint network. Sprint wireless consumers need to pay $0 down and a one-time activation fee of $36.

Sprint openly discusses about the lack of transparency from its rivals.

For instance, Verizon advertises 10GB of data for $80 per month. But its customers need to pay an additional monthly charge of $15 for line access and $27.08 for the phone.

AT&T charges $100 per month for 10GB of data. Customers need to pay an additional monthly charge of $15 for line access and $27.08 for the phone.

T-Mobile charges $100 for 4 lines and takes an additional $108.32 in monthly phone payments. In the case of AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon, these telecoms do not advertise the hidden charges. Sprint wants American wireless users to talk against such operators.

“This is your All-In price. So when they walk into our store or visit our website, they will see that $80 includes a smartphone and an unlimited plan to do the most important things they are going to do with the phone for an entire month: make calls, watch videos, listen to music, text a friend,” said Marcelo Claure, Sprint CEO.

Sprint has roped in sports star and entrepreneur David Beckham to promote the latest wireless plans.
