KIT digital powers launch of SA TV in Bangladesh

KIT digital, a cloud-based software solutions and technology
services provider for multi-screen video delivery, is deploying the
next-generation television infrastructure for SA TV in advance of its launch in
Bangladesh.

KIT digital will design and install the entire technical
infrastructure including studio facilities, newsroom system, master control
room, central equipment room and play-out facilities. By utilizing KIT
digital’s broadband headend solution, SA TV will have a fully digital,
automated, tapeless, HD and multi-device ready station.

“SA TV went through a long and detailed process of
evaluation. We decided to award this project to KIT digital because they have
such a great track record in Bangladesh. They also gave us a proposal that was
exactly what we required,” said

Salahuddin Ahmed, managing director of SA TV.

SA TV will feature a diverse mix of programming,
including dramatic series, specials, documentaries, music, international
reality shows, biographies, business news and analysis, cultural features,
political events and historical programs. SA TV aims to promote Bangladesh’s
emerging arts and culture, and celebrate the stories and successes of this
fast-growing country and economy.

“We are thrilled to be providing our
industry-leading technologies to SA TV, ensuring high-quality video programming
across the full range of connected devices. We are also proud to be deepening
our commitment to the fast-growing Bangladeshi market, where we count as
clients a number of the country’s leading media companies and network
operators. This is additional evidence of KIT digital’s unparalleled experience
throughout South Asia and our long-standing activity in the Asia-Pacific region
in general,” said Ashish Mukherjee,
KIT
digital’s senior vice president in Asia-Pacific.
