Agilent adds AFR option for PNA Series network analyzers for $10,000

Telecom test and measurement vendor Agilent Technologies added new automatic fixture removal (AFR) option for its PNA Series network analyzers.

The price of Agilent’s new AFR option (Option 007) for the PNA Series network analyzers is $10,000 in the U.S.

The AFR option was previously available only in Agilent’s Physical Layer Test System (PLTS) software, said Agilent.Agilent technologies

Agilent Technologies said the error-correction technique accurately measures non-coaxial devices to obtain a good measurement of the device-under-test, saving engineers time and money.

Agilent’s new AFR option for the PNA enables engineers to remove fixture effects from non-coaxial device measurements. Engineers will benefit thanks to a five-step wizard guide that offers necessary steps. De-embed files can be saved in a variety of formats for later use in PNA, PLTS and Advanced Design System software.
