Tata Docomo sets up largest Wi-Fi hotspot at 2014 Auto Expo

Tata Docomo (Tata Teleservices) said it has set up a public Wi-Fi hotspot at the 2014 Auto Expo, New Delhi by connecting the entire auto expo zone with its connectivity solutions. 

TTSL said on Monday that the public Wi-Fi hotspot covers an area of approx 100,000 sq m spread across 16 halls, food courts, fine dining zone, media lounge & VIP zones.

The expected foot fall at the 2014 Auto Expo is over 10,00,000 people.

“This is the single largest area Wi-Fi hotspot by a single telecom service provider in India. We are providing free high speed Wi-Fi access for the first 30 minutes at the expo,” said Avinash Gabriel, chief operating officer, Tata Docomo Wi-Fi Business.

Auto manufacturers & OEMs like Tata Motors, Ford, Hyundai, Mercedes Benz, BMW, MINI, etc. will benefit as they can connect with high speed uninterrupted Wi-Fi services from Tata Docomo Wi-Fi.

The company does not share specific details about Wi-Fi speed and charges beyond 30 minutes.

Now visitors can share their experience of seeing the latest F-TYPE Coupe of Jaguar to the future ready electric vehicles to superbikes instantly on their social media pages or blog about them.

Tata Docomo Wi-Fi has implemented over 10 km of fiber, 150+ access points, and 100+ network elements.

The telecom service provider also added 300 Mbps of dedicated connectivity further segregated in to 44 lease connectivity points of 280 Mbps, and an efficient support staff of 50+ personnel working round the clock for a better customer experience.
