StubHub partners with Sprint to expand Sprint football live application

StubHub,
the world’s largest ticket marketplace, announced a partnership with Sprint to
offer users of the Sprint Football Live application the ability to purchase
tickets to college and pro football games throughout the 2011-12 season.


“Partnering
with Sprint puts our brand in front of millions of Sprint Football Live users
and is a perfect platform for fans on-the-go,” said Geoff Lester, senior
manager, business development for StubHub.

 

Fans
can click directly through to StubHub from within the Sprint Football Live app
to purchase tickets for college and pro football games including bowl games and
the playoffs.


Sprint
customers use the app to follow their favorite teams, watch live telecasts of
college games from ESPN Mobile TV and Notre Dame on NBC Mobile, as well as
search pro and college real-time stats and scores, breaking news and rumors,
blogs from SB Nation, expert insight, analysis from top personalities, fantasy
team management and customizable content for specific players and teams.


StubHub
already has free ticket applications for Android, Windows Phone, iPhone and
iPod touch devices.


“Sprint
Football Live users will find our agreement with StubHub allows them to take
their support for their favorite teams a step farther by offering them a more
convenient way to purchase tickets to upcoming college and pro games even when
they aren’t near their desktop or laptop,” said Tim Considine, director of
sports marketing at Sprint.
