Mahindra Satyam unveils mobile client for Oracle’s agile product lifecycle management

Mahindra Satyam, a global consulting and IT services
provider, announced the release of its mobile client for Oracle’s agile product
lifecycle management (PLM).

This newest solution offers clients the capability to
manage product data via their favorite personal mobile device, including
iPhones and iPads, and improves the ROI of existing Agile PLM investments.

“Mahindra Satyam’s solution is built on Oracle’s
standards-based, open and integrated SOA Suite, which helps enable our partners
to rapidly design, deploy and manage highly adaptable business applications.
Mahindra Satyam leveraged this platform to develop their rich role-specific
applications that can be used on a host of mobile devices,” said John
Kelley, vice president of product management, Oracle.

The Mobile PLM solution is based on the web services
functionality provided in Agile PLM. Mahindra Satyam is responsible for the distribution,
implementation and customer specific enhancement of this solution.

Benefits to customers include improved ROI on their
existing PLM investment by expanding the usage of PLM data among casual and
mobile users, and faster decision making based on executive dashboards and
alerts.

“Developed in conjunction with our leading Agile PLM
customers and based on our proven PLM experience, this solution will enable
users to keep track of product data updates anywhere, anytime in a secured
manner,” said BK Kumar, Sr. VP, Product to Production (P2Pr) Solutions at
Mahindra Satyam.

“Our Mobile PLM solution extends the reach of
product data stored in Agile PLM to decision makers and will provide our
customers the ability to make faster decisions based on real time data and
business demands,” Kumar added.

Mahindra Satyam has an ongoing agreement with Oracle to
develop enterprise solutions for its customers. For over 14 years, Mahindra
Satyam’s Oracle Practice has offered a comprehensive range of services built
around Oracle global business units, technology acquisitions and new releases
of applications.

Mahindra Satyam recently announced a joint initiative with Microsoft Corporation to offer
modernization tools and solutions for the Child Support Systems.

These solutions will improve the productivity
of case workers and enable enhanced interaction with the citizens that leverage
Child Support services. The solution is based on Microsoft SharePoint 2010
technology and other enabling products from Microsoft.
