Telecom operators — Idea Cellular, Aircel and Vodafone — announced new mobile schemes for college students in the Delhi & NCR region.
Their strategy is to win college students during their college admission times in the region.
Idea Cellular
Idea Cellular’s Campus Card enables college students in the Delhi & NCR region to stay in touch with their friends and family for 30 paisa a minute.
India’s 3rd largest telecom service provider says the new scheme provides full benefits of talk time, data, SMS and discounted calling, thus taking care of all the needs of consumers.
Idea Campus Card recharge is available for only Rs 79 and carries a talk time of Rs 30. Users also benefit from 400 MB of data along with 100 local or national SMSs. While the local Idea calls are 30 paisa a minute, other calls (local or STD) are available at just 40 paisa a minute, all for a period of 1 month.
Aircel
Aircel’s Fuccha Pack will benefit college students in Delhi with discounted voice calls, data and text services.
The Fuccha Pack is available at First Recharge of Rs 149. The first recharge of RC 149 will offer benefits of 333 local & STD calls, Aircel to Aircel (local) at 10p/min, Aircel to Other (Local and STD calls) at 50p/min, free 1500 local and national SMS, 1GB of 2G data and an FTT in the next recharge of Rs. 51 and above.
“The new sessions at colleges in Delhi are beginning and we are targeting the students to offer this exciting product. Staying connected 24X7 is the foremost need of students and Aircel’s Fuccha Pack will cater to that,” said Anil Gupta, regional manager – North, Aircel.
Vodafone
Vodafone India says its Campus Pack offers two value-for-money deals for the youth.
Students can avail of these offers by recharging through bonus card of either Rs 149 or Rs 275 to enjoy STD calls at 40 p/min. The pack also offers 100 free SMS (local + STD) valid over 28 days.
In addition, Bonus Card of Rs 149 offers 1GB of 2G data services, whereas the Rs 275 bonus card offers 1GB of 3G data services.
