Vodafone offers 90% discount on data on international roaming

Telecom Lead India: Vodafone offers over 90 percent discount on data and 64 percent on outgoing local and international calls on certain international roaming.

The pack offers over 90 percent discount on data with rates Rs 50/MB while roaming overseas. Outgoing local and international calls will be charged at Rs 25/min and Rs 50/min respectively. Incoming calls will cost Rs 50/min.

The new international roaming pack is available for its customers in India visiting countries like UK, USA, UAE, Singapore and Thailand.

Vodafone India is trying to tap customer travelling overseas during this vacation season.

However, there are conditions. Vodafone India has priced the international roaming pack at a rental of Rs 2499 for 30 days validity.

These benefits are offered across 45 countries in partnership with select network operator in each country.

This new pack is in addition to the Rs 1499 pack launched last year that offered 60 percent discount on international roaming on voice, data and SMS in a single pack.

“It guarantees affordable connectivity for our customers travelling to countries like UK, USA, UAE, Singapore etc. Ensuring quick and hassle-free data access upon arrival, it addresses the needs of diverse customer segments,” said Vivek Mathur, chief commercial officer, Vodafone India.
