International Telecommunication Union chief Hamadoun Toure’s India visit

Telecom Lead Asia: International Telecommunication Union chief Hamadoun Toure’s India visit was eventful this year.

Besides meeting India’s telecom and IT minister Kapil Sibal and DoT secretary MF Farooqui, he attended FICCI-organized sessions, CMAI’s telecom award function, etc.

Hamadoun Toure, addressing the CMAI telecom award function, said he was happy to see the progress in the telecom sector in India.

He also attended a function organized by Assocham.

Sadhana Dikshit, member Finance, Telecom Commission, along with RN Jha, DDG (IR), Department of Telecom were present at the Assocham event.

The Assocham function was supported by Huawei Technology, Indus Towers, Qualcomm, Reliance Communications and Vodafone.
