Telefonica Brasil Q2 2026 Revenue Rises 7.6% to R$15.8 bn as Vivo Expands Mobile, Fiber, Digital Services and 5G

Telefonica Brasil, operating under the Vivo brand, delivered another quarter of growth in the second quarter of 2026, driven by higher mobile service revenue, expanding fiber broadband, rising digital services and continued investment in 5G infrastructure.

The operator reported revenue of R$15.76 billion, up 7.6 percent year on year, while maintaining strong momentum across postpaid mobile, FTTH broadband and enterprise digital businesses.

Mobile remained the company’s largest growth engine. Mobile service revenue increased 6.6 percent, supported by strong postpaid demand. The human postpaid subscriber base reached 52.4 million, adding 3.6 million customers over the last twelve months and growing 7.3 percent. Total contract mobile accesses reached 73.2 million, up 6.9 percent, while postpaid accounted for 87 percent of mobile service revenue.

Mobile ARPU of Telefonica Brasil increased to R$53.9, up 0.8 percent. Customer churn of Telefonica Brasil remained at a historically low 1.0 percent, highlighting continued customer loyalty despite price adjustments.

Telefonica Brasil continued to strengthen its fixed broadband business through fiber expansion. FTTH revenue grew 10.7 percent, while the company’s fiber network expanded to 32.0 million homes passed, an increase of 6.4 percent. Connected fiber customers reached 8.2 million, growing 11.3 percent, lifting fiber take-up to 25.6 percent.

Fiber ARPU of Telefonica Brasil increased 0.7 percent sequentially, while broadband churn improved to 1.4 percent. The operator’s FTTH network now serves 453 cities, reinforcing Vivo’s leadership in Brazil’s broadband market.

Digital services continued to become a larger contributor to revenue. Corporate Data, ICT and Digital Services revenue increased 7.8 percent, while digital B2B revenue expanded 14.9 percent over the last twelve months. New businesses, including electronics, health, streaming and financial services, recorded 33.6 percent revenue growth, demonstrating Vivo’s strategy of expanding beyond traditional telecom connectivity into digital platforms and enterprise services.

Telefonica Brasil accelerated network investments. Capital expenditure totaled R$2.59 billion, increasing 6.1 percent and representing 16.4 percent of revenue. During the first half of 2026, Capex of Telefonica Brasil reached R$4.64 billion, up 7.6 percent. Investments remained focused on expanding 5G and fiber infrastructure, with 5G coverage extended to 978 municipalities, reaching approximately 73 percent of Brazil’s population.
