Comtech Telecommunications’ Allerium business segment has activated its Next Generation 9‑1‑1 (NG9‑1‑1) service across Kentucky, advancing the statewide emergency communications infrastructure. The rollout began with Bluegrass 911 Communications in December 2025, supporting NG9‑1‑1 text and voice calls, and in just four months, 12 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) have transitioned to the new platform, significantly improving emergency response capabilities. Under the multi‑year agreement, Allerium provides a resilient, scalable National Emergency Number Association i3 call routing architecture, enhancing interoperability, efficiency, and reliability across the Commonwealth’s emergency services.
HPE Powers Up with Wi‑Fi 6 & 7 Patent Access
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has secured a licence to access patents through the newly launched Sisvel Wi‑Fi Multimode pool, expanding its rights to Wi‑Fi 6 and Wi‑Fi 7 technologies. The Luxembourg‑based patent pool consolidates essential intellectual property from multiple industry leaders, providing a simplified framework for manufacturers to adopt advanced wireless standards. By joining the pool, HPE becomes part of a growing group of licensees, including Sony, Huawei, Panasonic, Philips, and ZTE, strengthening its position in the global WLAN market. Telia to Acquire Telness as Nordic Communications Group Divests MVNO Business
Nordic Communications Group AB has announced the divestment of its mobile virtual network operator Telness to Telia in Sweden, marking a strategic shift in its business focus. As part of the agreement, Telness will enter into a long-term partnership with Telness Tech to continue using its Seamless OS platform, ensuring continuity in digital customer experience. The transaction represents a key milestone for Telness Tech, as Telia becomes the first mobile network operator to deploy the Seamless OS platform within a full-scale MNO environment. The platform, originally developed and validated within Telness, has been central to its reputation as one of Europe’s most digitally advanced telecom operators. Following the acquisition, Telness will continue operating under its existing brand while being integrated into Telia’s Swedish B2B segment.
