AudioCodes Strengthens Webex Calling with Expanded Voice Solutions

AudioCodes has expanded its certified voice solution portfolio for Cisco’s Webex Calling platform, strengthening support for cloud-based enterprise communications. The company has added three new 400HD IP phone models C450HD, 445HD, and 425HD designed to deliver enhanced voice quality, intuitive user interfaces, and centralized device management. AudioCodes has also introduced MediaPack analog gateways, enabling organizations to connect legacy equipment such as fax machines and analog phones to Webex Calling. These additions complement AudioCodes’ existing Webex-certified Session Border Controllers and PSTN connectivity options, giving enterprises greater flexibility as they migrate from traditional telephony systems to cloud-based calling environments.

BART Commuters Score Big: Free High-Speed Wi‑Fi Debuts Ahead of the Big Game

Boldyn Networks and the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) District have launched free Wi‑Fi 6E service at five major BART stations  SFO Airport, West Oakland, Embarcadero, Civic Center, and Powell Street  just in time for the Big Game. This marks the first phase of a digital upgrade that will expand high-speed Wi‑Fi to all BART stations and eventually onto trains over the next few years. The new service uses advanced 6 GHz spectrum technology for reliable, fast coverage, improving connectivity for commuters and visitors during one of the year’s busiest transit weeks.

Lumen Offloads Consumer Fiber Business to AT&T in $5.7 bn Deal

Lumen Technologies has completed the sale of its Mass Markets consumer fiber-to-the-home business, including Quantum Fiber operations in 11 U.S. states, to AT&T for $5.75 billion in cash. The deal covers over 1 million fiber customers and more than 4 million enabled locations, marking Lumen’s strategic shift toward becoming a pure-play enterprise-focused digital networking company focused on AI, cloud, and advanced infrastructure services. Lumen plans to use most of the proceeds to retire super priority debt, reducing interest costs and strengthening its balance sheet, while AT&T expands its AT&T Fiber footprint into new markets, boosting its consumer broadband capacity.
