MTN and Airtel confirmed the resumption, stating that NIMC services are now operational. The disruption affected millions of subscribers, halting SIM swaps, replacements, and new activations. The migration aimed to improve identity verification processes. Operators worked with NIMC and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) to resolve integration challenges.
