Verizon reshuffles senior management team

Verizon Communications last week announced changes in senior management team to support the company’s growth plans.
Verizon Business and 5GVerizon Chairman and CEO Hans Vestberg said: “This is a significant step in the transformation we started four years ago to be customers’ choice for the next generation of communications technology. We’re elevating our performance by building on our network strength, increasing accountability, and further strengthening Verizon’s competitive capabilities.”

Verizon has appointed Sowmyanarayan Sampath, currently leading Verizon Business Group, to Executive Vice President and CEO of Verizon Consumer Group (VCG). The annual revenue of Verizon Consumer Group was $103.506 billion in 2022.

Verizon has appointed Kyle Malady, currently leading Global Networks & Technology, as Executive Vice President and CEO of Verizon Business Group (VBG). The annual revenue of Verizon Business Group was $31.072 billion in 2022.

Verizon has appointed Joe Russo, currently Senior Vice President and Chief Network Officer, as Executive Vice President and President of Global Networks and Technology. Joe Russo will be responsible for network expansion across the United States. Verizon earlier said its Capex (capital expenditure) reached $23 billion in 2022.

Verizon has revealed that Matt Ellis, who has served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Verizon since November 2016, will be leaving the company, effective May 1.

Verizon has appointed Senior Vice President & Controller of Verizon Tony Skiadas as Chief Financial Officer.

Verizon Communications, headquartered in New York City, has generated revenues  of $136.8 billion in 2022.
