In Americas, 148 mobile operators are investing in 5G network and 39 operators have launched 5G. In Asia Pacific, 115 mobile operators are investing in 5G and 56 operators have launched 5G. In EMEA, 252 mobile operators are investing in 5G and 135 operators have launched 5G.
More than 1,700 5G devices announced. More than 1,400 5G devices are available in the market for purchase. 224 vendors are producing or planning 5G devices. 1,450 5G devices support 5G standalone. 112 mobile operators have launched 5G standalone network. There are 90 5G processors and modems in the market.
Mobile operators have spent nearly $140 billion in 2021 for buying 5G spectrum during spectrum auctions. 28 more countries are planning to assign 5G spectrum by the end of 2023.
