Telecom Lead America: DoubleHorn Communications, a
provider of wholesale communications services, has picked Acme Packet solutions
to secure and control its IP communications service offerings.
The company has deployed Acme Packet’s Net-Net Enterprise
Session Director-Server Edition and SIP Trunk Xpress solutions.
Both solutions are helping DoubleHorn to reduce network
infrastructure cost and complexity, streamline operations, and accelerate
time-to-market.
Speaking on the selection, Tab Schadt, CEO of DoubleHorn
Communications said, Acme Packet solutions help us simplify operations and
contain costs by solving interoperability issues, exploiting industry-standard
servers, and automating common configuration tasks.
DoubleHorn Communications provides critical retail
business services and cloud-based wholesale technologies to enterprises, and
wanted an SBC partner that could support both its services.
By using Acme Packet solution, DoubleHorn is able to
utilize a unified SBC product offering for both business lines.
Acme Packet’s vice president of North America and Asia
Pacific Japan sales, Tim Ziemer said that the integration of Acme Packet’s
multipurpose solution with other technologies, Acme packet helped DoubleHorn
increase margins while maximizing their customers’ satisfaction with their
services.
Acme claims that the Net-Net Enterprise Session
Director-Server Edition SBC enables DoubleHorn to reduce equipment expenses and
simplify sparing and operations.
Furthermore, Acme’s SIP Trunk Xpress application lets
DoubleHorn accelerate time-to-market for cloud-based services by automating
manually-intensive and error-prone SIP trunking configuration tasks.
DoubleHorn plans to offer end-user, web-based
self-selection tools by integrating the Acme Packet platforms with its
end-to-end provisioning systems.
The company said that the integration will accelerate
service enablement and reduce operational expenditures even further.
