TMX Atrium taps Juniper Networks for global financial operations

Telecom Lead America: Juniper Networks has provided TMX
Atrium with its switching and routing technology to TMX Atrium.

With presence in 12 countries across North America and
Western Europe, TMX Atrium selected Juniper’s secure network to offer
connectivity to 27 major trading venues and expand into new geographies.

“Juniper Networks’ switching technology has enabled
us to provide even better customer service. Our clients have confidence in our
ability to deliver low-latency as well as 24/7 connectivity, and Juniper
Networks provides the extreme reliability and availability our clients need at
a low operational cost,” said Emmanuel Carjat, managing director, TMX Atrium.

TMX Atrium has deployed Juniper Networks QFX3500 Switches
in its network to distribute market data, reaching up to 1.6 gigabits per
second.

With the deployment of Juniper technology, TMX Atrium’s
clients will be able to consume ever-increasing amounts of market data faster
and easier and support multicast delivery.

TMX Atrium has also deployed EX Series Ethernet Switches
and SRX Series Services Gateways at the core of the network.

TMX Atrium has deployed Juniper Networks equipment that
runs on Junos operating system. Juniper claims that its Junos enables the
customer’s operations team to support its clients effectively, reducing
operational costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.

“The new TMX Atrium network will help the company
turn new product features and functionality into new client offerings and bring
them quickly and seamlessly to market. The implementation of the Junos OS will
deliver operational simplicity and make it much easier for TMX Atrium’s operations
team to support its clients,” said Mike Marcellin, vice president, strategy and
marketing, Platform and Systems Division, Juniper Networks.

Verizon taps Juniper Networks to deploy eight TB platform

Recently, Verizon announced that it will be deploying
Juniper Networks PTX Series in major markets in the U.S. and Europe by the
end of this year.

The wireless major needs a densest multiprotocol label
switching platform and the deployment will give an initial capacity of eight
terabits per second to the company.
