Telecom Lead America: Mexican telecom service provider
Bestel has selected Cisco TelePresence for the Bestel Public TelePresence
Room Service.
Cisco TelePresence enables an immersive face-to-face
experience over the network, allowing meeting attendees to feel as if they were
all in the same room, even if they are miles apart, thus enriching
collaboration.
In Bestel’s Public TelePresence Room Service, the
solution will be implemented via the Cisco TelePresence System 3010, which
combines three immersive life-size screens, offering ultra-high-definition
video (1080p) and spatial audio, a specially designed environment with
interactive elements that create the feeling of being physically present with
participants in remote locations. The room is created to host up to 18
attendees in two rows of participants, 6 in the front row and 12 in a second
row.
To complete the collaboration experience, Bestel’s Public
TelePresence Room Service allows the attendees to share information through the
displays and screens inside the room. The Cisco TelePresence Manger
software manages Cisco Unified Communications Manager, which shares
the schedule of meetings through a calendar invitation.
Enterprises, public and private institutions,
governments, schools, and other entities are using Cisco
TelePresence technology to reduce costs, improve productivity and
transform business processes.
“Decisions that had to wait several weeks can now be
taken in hours, and costs can be significantly reduced. People can save several
hours per week, increasing productivity and work/life balance,” said
Rogelio Velasco, general manager of Cisco Systems de Mexico.
