SKT reached 16.58 million 5G subscribers, making up more than 73 percent of its total user base. This strong growth in 5G subscriptions highlights SKT’s successful network expansion and user adoption.

SKT’s consolidated revenue increased by 2.9 percent to KRW 4.5321 trillion, with operating income up 7.1 percent. This growth was bolstered by steady performance in the roaming and enterprise segments, along with efficiency improvements driven by AI implementation.

SKT is transforming its Gasan data center into an AI data hub, set to open in December, featuring a subscription-based AI cloud service, GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS). Additionally, SKT’s new AI data center testbed in Pangyo will focus on advancing AI technology with innovations like high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and liquid cooling, underscoring SKT’s commitment to AI infrastructure.

SKT’s enterprise business expanded by 8 percent, with cloud services seeing substantial 30 percent YoY growth. AI-driven enterprise solutions are becoming a core part of SKT’s B2B business strategy, aimed at increasing orders across industries.

The AI personal assistant service ‘A. (A-DoT)’ gained popularity, surpassing 5.5 million cumulative subscribers by September. In October, it rebranded to ‘A. Phone,’ integrating AI with T-phone services and expanding functionalities to include LLM-based searches, demonstrating SKT’s commitment to consumer-focused AI services.

SK Telecom’s achievements underscore its strong position in the 5G market, coupled with its forward-looking AI strategy focused on data centers, cloud services, and consumer-oriented AI applications.
