The company’s postpaid service revenues jumped 12 percent to $14.9 billion, reflecting its robust customer momentum. Net income rose to $2.7 billion, underscoring operational efficiency and scale benefits.

“Q3 once again proves that our differentiated strategy is working — more and more consumers recognize our industry-leading network and elevated customer experiences through digital innovation,” said Srini Gopalan, COO and incoming CEO of T-Mobile.

Network Quality Driving Customer Additions

T-Mobile’s network investments are translating directly into subscriber gains. During the quarter, the operator recorded 2.3 million postpaid customer additions, up by 772,000 year-on-year, including 1 million postpaid phone net additions. Postpaid account additions rose to 396,000, while prepaid customers increased by 43,000.

In home broadband, T-Mobile added 560,000 customers, including 506,000 5G broadband customers and 54,000 fiber customers, bringing its total 5G broadband base to 8 million. Total customer additions stood at 2.4 million, lifting total connections to a record 139.9 million.

Network Leadership and Performance

T-Mobile’s network continues to set benchmarks for quality and reliability:

Opensignal recognized T-Mobile as the Global Winner in 5G Coverage Experience and Global Leader in 5G Reliability, outperforming other U.S. carriers.

Ookla data shows T-Mobile as the fastest fixed wireless home internet provider, delivering median download speeds nearly 50 percent faster than its closest competitor.

The iPhone 17 performs fastest on T-Mobile’s network, with download speeds nearly 90 percent faster than one major rival.

The company has deployed L4S technology across all 5G sites and achieved 70 percent carrier aggregation support, improving capacity and efficiency.

Strategic Capex Boost

To sustain its growth and expand network superiority, T-Mobile has raised its 2025 capital expenditure target to approximately $10 billion, up by $500 million. This investment supports continued 5G expansion, fiber rollout, and new technology deployments.

The operator also increased its 2025 guidance for postpaid customer additions to 7.2–7.4 million, up from 6.1–6.4 million, and raised its target for fiber net additions to 130,000 from the earlier 100,000.

With superior network quality, consistent innovation, and disciplined investment, T-Mobile continues to outpace rivals in customer growth and service leadership — solidifying its position as the #1 5G and broadband challenger in the U.S. market.
