Vodafone Idea CEO Ravinder Takkar steps down

Vodafone Idea said Ravinder Takkar will step down as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company in August, 2022.
Vi 4G network in BhopalRavinder Takkar, who has been with the Vodafone Group for nearly three decades, will continue to work with the Vodafone Group. The UK-based telecoms group did not reveal the responsibilities for Ravinder Takkar in coming years.

Vodafone Idea has appointed Akshaya Moondra, Chief Financial Officer of the company, as Chief Executive Officer for a period of three years.

Akshaya Moondra has over thirty years of international experience and over 14 years’ experience in the Indian telecom sector. Akshaya Moondra will be handling challenges in the highly competitive market in the country.

Vi has already indicated that the third largest telecom operator in India will not be spending huge funds during the 5G spectrum auction next week.
