Telecom network operator Vodafone India has expanded its 4G coverage – on the 1800 MHz spectrum band — to Siliguri, one of the key towns, in West Bengal.

The announcement on the launch of 4G services was made by Naveen Chopra, chief operating officer, Vodafone India.

Vodafone, which has limited 4G presence, aims to expand 4G services across West Bengal over the next few months.

Vodafone 4G is already available in Kerala, Karnataka, Kolkata, Delhi & NCR, Mumbai, Haryana UP East and Gujarat.

Vodafone is selling SuperNet 4G SIMs to customers, who have 4G compatible phones and smart devices including Mi-Fi and dongles.

Vodafone India has more than 18 million mobile customers in West Bengal.

“Beginning with key business and residential corridors of Siliguri, we will soon expand our Vodafone SuperNet 4G services across the entire circle in a phased manner,” said Anand Sahai, business head – West Bengal Circle, Vodafone India.
