Telecom network operator Vodafone India said its 4G LTE services are now available across 10 towns in Kerala.
Vodafone India said the launch of its 4G network on 1800 MHz band in Thiruvananthapuram follows Kochi. Its 4G service is supported by 3G services on network of 2100 MHz.
Vodafone aims to rollout 4G in important metros such as Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Kolkata before March 2016. Bharti Airtel’s 4G services have already reached more than 330 towns in India. Reliance Jio Infocomm will launch 4G on 27 December for its employees, while commercial launch is expected before the second quarter of 2015.
Lenovo, Apple iPhone, Samsung, Micromax, Microsoft, Lava and Xolo are selling 4G smartphones across the country.
