Telia in its Q3 2024 financial report said revenue decreased by 0.9 percent to SEK 21.749 million. Service revenue fell by 0.6 percent to SEK 18,820 million.
Despite the revenue decline, net income increased to SEK 2,511 million.
Capital expenditures (Capex) excluding right-of-use assets from continuing operations dropped to SEK 2.897 billion. Cash Capex also declined slightly to SEK 2.924 billion.
Sweden
Service revenue growth in Sweden was driven by the Consumer segment (+3.9 percent), with strong performances in TV (+22.4 percent) and Broadband (+4.1 percent).
Mobile postpaid subscriptions (excluding M2M) decreased by ~3,000, driven by the Enterprise segment.
TV subscriptions increased by ~14,000, and fixed broadband subscriptions grew by ~6,000.
Capex (excluding fees for licenses, spectrum, and right-of-use assets) increased by 23.9 percent to SEK 867 million.
Finland
Service revenue remained stable, with growth in both mobile and fixed services within the Consumer business.
Mobile postpaid subscriptions (excluding M2M) fell by ~9,000, driven by the consumer segment.
TV subscriptions increased by ~10,000, while fixed broadband subscriptions grew by ~7,000.
CAPEX decreased slightly by 2.4 percent to SEK 387 million.
Norway
Service revenue and EBITDA saw a slight decline, though the Mobile Consumer customer base has experienced growth for five consecutive months.
Mobile postpaid subscriptions (excluding M2M) remained relatively stable.
TV subscriptions dropped by ~4,000, and fixed broadband subscriptions fell by ~1,000.
CAPEX decreased by 11.3 percent to SEK 553 million.
Lithuania
Lithuania showed modest growth in both service revenue and EBITDA.
Mobile postpaid subscriptions (excluding M2M) increased by ~21,000.
TV subscriptions decreased by ~1,000, and fixed broadband subscriptions dropped by ~2,000.
CAPEX increased by 3.5 percent to SEK 155 million.
Estonia
Estonia saw improved momentum across core product areas.
Mobile postpaid subscriptions (excluding M2M) grew by ~7,000.
TV subscriptions decreased by ~1,000, while fixed broadband subscriptions increased by ~2,000.
CAPEX rose by 15.3 percent to SEK 132 million.
On September 4, 2024, Telia announced a restructuring of its vendor financing program, reducing its volume by approximately 50 percent to simplify operations and improve cash flow stability.
Telia appointed Alexandra Fürst as Chief Technology and Information Officer, set to join the Group Executive Management team by March 2025.
