Reliance Jio has emerged as the fastest mobile network for downloads in Nuh and Palwal districts of Haryana, while Bharti Airtel delivered the highest upload speeds and Vodafone Idea recorded the strongest call-drop performance, according to the latest network quality assessment by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).

TRAI’s Drive Test, conducted from July 13 to 15, 2026, covered 295.2 km of drive routes, 1.8 km of walking tests and six hotspot locations. The assessment examined mobile network coverage, download and upload speeds, dropped calls, call silence and packet loss across Reliance Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL.
Reliance Jio Leads Download Speeds but Trails Airtel in Upload Performance
Reliance Jio achieved the highest average download speed of 130.28 Mbps in Nuh, significantly ahead of Airtel at 75.70 Mbps, Vodafone Idea at 20.03 Mbps and BSNL at 6.78 Mbps.
In Palwal, Reliance Jio strengthened its lead with 212.03 Mbps, more than twice Airtel’s 105.00 Mbps. Vodafone Idea delivered 40.70 Mbps, while BSNL recorded 13.92 Mbps.
However, Reliance Jio did not lead upload performance. Its average upload speeds were 9.71 Mbps in Nuh and 14.52 Mbps in Palwal, compared with Airtel’s 14.26 Mbps and 20.96 Mbps, respectively.
Reliance Jio recorded one dropped call in each district. Its downlink packet loss was 2.11 percent in Nuh and 1.62 percent in Palwal.
The operator registered 784 poor-signal samples in Nuh and 768 in Palwal, although it reported no complete coverage gaps during testing.
Airtel Delivers Strong Upload Speeds and Lowest Packet Loss
Bharti Airtel demonstrated balanced network performance across both districts, securing second position in download speeds and first position in upload speeds.
Airtel recorded download speeds of 75.70 Mbps in Nuh and 105.00 Mbps in Palwal, while upload speeds reached 14.26 Mbps and 20.96 Mbps, respectively.
The operator also achieved the lowest downlink packet loss among the four operators, at 1.84 percent in Nuh and 0.79 percent in Palwal.
Airtel recorded the lowest uplink packet loss of 2.06 percent in Nuh and 0.96 percent in Palwal.
Its voice network performed well, with zero dropped calls from 142 successfully established calls in Nuh and one dropped call from 272 calls in Palwal.
Airtel reported 346 poor-signal samples in Nuh and 279 in Palwal, with no complete coverage gaps in either district.
Vodafone Idea Leads Call-Drop Performance and Signal Strength
Vodafone Idea demonstrated strong voice network reliability, recording zero dropped calls in both Nuh and Palwal.
The operator successfully established 143 calls in Nuh and 269 calls in Palwal without any dropped calls.
Vodafone Idea also recorded the lowest proportion of poor-signal samples among the four operators, at approximately 2.06 percent in Nuh and 0.79 percent in Palwal.
However, nine no-coverage samples were recorded in Nuh, while none were reported in Palwal.
Vodafone Idea’s average download speeds were 20.03 Mbps in Nuh and 40.70 Mbps in Palwal, substantially below Reliance Jio and Airtel.
Its upload speeds reached 10.84 Mbps in Nuh and 13.03 Mbps in Palwal.
The operator recorded downlink packet loss of 3.33 percent in Nuh and 1.22 percent in Palwal.
BSNL Faces Coverage and Speed Challenges
BSNL recorded the weakest overall download performance, achieving 6.78 Mbps in Nuh and 13.92 Mbps in Palwal.
Its upload speeds were 6.21 Mbps and 7.20 Mbps, respectively.
BSNL also experienced significant network coverage challenges.
In Nuh, 4,021 out of 15,424 samples showed poor signal strength, representing approximately 26.07 percent of observations.
In Palwal, 2,239 out of 29,643 samples indicated poor signal strength, equivalent to approximately 7.55 percent.
BSNL recorded 28 no-coverage samples in Nuh and 26 in Palwal, the highest among the operators.
Its voice network registered five dropped calls in Nuh and three in Palwal.
BSNL also reported the highest downlink packet loss, at 5.35 percent in Nuh and 2.57 percent in Palwal.

TRAI Findings Highlight Different Operator Strengths
The assessment shows that Reliance Jio maintained a clear advantage in download throughput, while Airtel delivered stronger upload speeds and lower packet loss.
Vodafone Idea demonstrated competitive voice reliability and signal-strength performance despite trailing the two largest private operators in mobile broadband speeds.
BSNL faced the greatest challenges in network coverage, data throughput and dropped calls, particularly in Nuh.
