Ooredoo 4G reaches 200 locations in Myanmar

Ooredoo Myanmar 4G networkOoredoo Myanmar said its 4G network has reached across 200 localities in Myanmar, as part of a major network and infrastructure project.

Ooredoo Myanmar’s 4G service – offering Internet speed of up to 500 Mbps — is available to more than 15 million customers, representing two-thirds of Myanmar’s townships.

Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, group chief executive officer of Ooredoo, said the network modernisation program enabled the telecom operator to bring 4G+ services to customers in Myanmar.

Vikram Sinha, CEO of Ooredoo Myanmar, said the company would go ahead with network upgrade plan in 2018.
