Larry Ridwan, chief executive officer of Net1 Indonesia, said: “The availability of mobile internet connection will assist Indonesia to promote these tourism spots among international travellers.”
Net1 Indonesia owns 450 MHz low frequency spectrum to expand the 4G coverage in rural areas of Indonesia. The 450 MHz spectrum enables Net1 Indonesia to cover 100 kilometer radius area with one BTS.
The telecom operator said 450 MHz spectrum will support the strategy to launch of machine-to-machine (M2M) / IoT communication services such as video surveillance, telemetry, and tracking in rural areas.
