Idea Cellular makes investment in 4G LTE network in Orissa

Idea Cellular 4G launchedTelecom network operator Idea Cellular on Tuesday announced its investment in 4G LTE network services in Orissa.

Idea Cellular says its 4G LTE service is available in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.

“Starting 23 December, we have been expanding our 4G LTE service footprint from 4 to 8 telecom circles now. With revised Capex guidance for FY 2016 at Rs 75 billion we are accelerating our 4G rollout to cover 10 telecom circles,” said Ambrish Jain, deputy managing director of Idea Cellular.

Idea Cellular is targeting Maharashtra and Goa, and North East before March 2016. Idea Cellular said its 4G coverage will reach 750 cities across 10 telecom circles by June 2016. Idea Cellular is launching 4G network on 1800 MHz 4G spectrum in 10 telecom circles.
