Idea 4G reaches 390 towns in Maharashtra and Goa

Indian telecom network operator Idea Cellular today announced the expansion of its 4G services to cover 390 towns across 32 districts in Maharashtra and Goa.

The Aditya Birla group company is the first and only telecom service provider to offer 4G services in 300 of these towns in Maharashtra and Goa. Idea Cellular has more than 24,500 cell sites – 2G, 3G and 4G — in Maharashtra and Goa.

Idea Cellular’s 4G coverage reached Amravati, Aurangabad, Gondia, Kohlapur, Alibagh, Wardha, Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Vasco and Panjim.

“We have always been committed to grow our network in the region and offer the best mobile experience to the people in deep interiors of the circle. We now have the largest 2G, 3G and 4G network with over 24,500 sites providing seamless mobile broadband experience,” said Rajendra Chourasia, chief operating officer – Maharashtra & Goa, Idea Cellular.

Idea Cellular has a customer base of nearly 26 million in the Maharashtra & Goa telecom circle.
