Ericsson signs 3G and 4G deal with Thailand telecoms True Mobile

Ericsson announced its 3G and 4G deal with Thailand telecoms True Mobile.

Telecom equipment major Ericsson will provide mobile broadband network for True Mobile’s Real Future brand to meet growing data traffic demand in Thailand.

21.5 million Real Future subscribers will benefit from 3G and 4G/LTE service powered by Ericsson.

Thailand’s 67 million population has a mobile penetration rate of more than 130 percent.

As per Ericsson ConsumerLab studies in 2013, smartphone penetration in urban Thailand increased to 36 percent in 2013 from 17 percent in 2012.

True Mobile has selected Ericsson to expand its mobile broadband network in Thailand.

The expansion will allow the True Mobile Group to offer their 21.5 million subscribers with improved mobile broadband experiences based on HSPA and LTE technologies.
