Convergence India: Ruckus to deploy Wi-Fi networks across Indian Universities

Telecom Lead India: Ruckus Wireless, a provider of Wi-Fi
equipment solutions, is expanding its footprints across the education sector in
India by deploying Wifi networks across the Indian Universities.

The company is planning to collaborate with leading Indian
universities to provide them with Smart Wi-Fi products and technology.

We are in talks with several universities across India to
provide them with our Wi-Fi products and technology,” Chris Yip, director of
APAC marketing of Ruckus Wireless told Telecomlead at Convergence India 2012.

The company will offer its technology and deploy its network
in several universities that include Delhi University, BIIT Chennai, NIIT
University and Thapa University.

The company has also deployed Wi-Fi network across the
campus of Lovely Professional University.

At the Convergence India 2012, Ruckus Wireless is showcasing
its recently launched new small cell system called SmartCell 2000.

Ruckus Wireless has recently announced that its Smart Wi-Fi products and technology
are being deployed by colleges and universities throughout China.

Ruckus Wireless’ Smart Wi-Fi products will deliver
ultra-reliable, low-cost, high-speed mobile broadband services to hundreds of
thousands of students and staff of these universities throughout China.

Earlier, while taking to Telecomlead, the company said
that is expanding its clients in sectors such as education, hospital,
healthcare and manufacturing.

Ruckus ZoneFlex smart Wi-Fi systems have been deployed by
major enterprises and service providers throughout India such as Mumbai
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Seven Hills Hospital, Lovely
Professional University, NIIT University, Thapar University, Tikona Digital
Networks, Leonia Resorts, JW Marriott Bangalore and many more.
