Bytemobile launches new products to improve 3G and 4G network efficiency

Telecom Lead Asia: Bytemobile has launched two new
products that provide telecom operators with a seamless single-vendor solution
for processing video and web traffic to deliver increased efficiency for 3G and
4G networks.

Bytemobile’s latest Mobile Analytics Report indicates that
a tablet already generates three times the data volume generated by a
comparable smartphone.

Managing network capacity has become not only the single
most important business challenge for operators, but also the single greatest
opportunity to monetize subscriber data traffic for increasing revenue growth
and profitability.

Instead of multiple network elements for caching, load
balancing, deep packet inspection (DPI), video and web optimization, analytics,
and policy control – pieced together from multiple vendors – Bytemobile has
brought to market new infrastructure that provides carriers with a more
efficient and manageable architecture for Smart Capacity – and the scalability
to capitalize on exploding subscriber demand for rich mobile data services,”
said Chris Koopmans, chief operating officer of Bytemobile.

The T1100 Traffic Director is designed to deliver the
intelligence and performance required to scale next-generation networks and
applications. It enables operators to efficiently and cost-effectively manage
explosive growth in data traffic while delivering a high-quality subscriber
experience.

The T1100 is powered by Citrix NetScaler and custom-built
for deployment with Bytemobile’s Smart Capacity platforms. It provides a
seamless exchange of information to intelligently distribute traffic load at
all times, resulting in higher availability, greater throughput and simplified
operational management.

The T1100 features advanced Citrix NetScaler TriScale
technology, including new clustering capabilities that enable multiple
appliances to work as a single system so overall network capacity can easily
scale from just megabits/sec to terabits/sec.

TriScale clustering complements the NetScaler
Pay-As-You-Grow elasticity offered by the T1100, enabling operators to increase
performance on-demand up to 5x to quickly meet changing traffic requirements
within the mobile packet core = without having to provision new hardware.
