Airtel 4G has reached Guwahati as part of the expansion of high speed mobile broadband services in Assam.
Earlier, Airtel announced free 3 GB data per month for next 12 months to customers who switch to Airtel 4G networks.
Bharti Airtel, the first Indian telecom operator to launch 4G services, has launched 4G in Guwahati on TD-LTE technology on the 2300 MHz spectrum band.
Customers can get one-time 2GB free 4G data by upgrading their existing SIMs to 4G SIMs by dialing 52122.
Earlier, Airtel introduced 4G in major cities such as Dibrugar, Jorhat and Tinsukia in Assam.
“Our customers can upgrade to 4G, free of cost and enjoy high speed mobile broadband experience on the India’s widest 4G network,” said Sameer Anjaria, CEO, Airtel North Eastern States and Assam, in a statement.
Airtel’s special offer of free data for 12 months is worth up to Rs 9,000 per year. The free data offer is available to any customer with a 4G mobile handset that is currently not on the Airtel network. Any customer, including existing Airtel customers, upgrading to a new 4G handset can also avail this offer.
In addition, Airtel is offering 1GB 3G / 4G data for Rs 146, 4GB 3G / 4G data for Rs 246 and 10GB 3G / 4G data for Rs 497 for all 4G handset users with a validity of 28 days.
