TeliaSonera to buy cloud and hosting services supplier Ipeer

Telecom service provider TeliaSonera is set to buy cloud and hosting services supplier Ipeer from Applewise.

The strategy of TeliaSonera is to supplement its network and access services. The acquisition will enable TeliaSonera to offer total solutions including new types of cloud services to its business customers in Sweden.

Ipeer provides cloud and hosting services for both small and large companies. With 65 employees, the company has operations in Stockholm and Karlstad in Sweden as well as in India.

TeliaSonera did not share financial details of the acquisition.

“Thanks to our billion investment in infrastructure, we will be able to offer total solutions allowing our business customers to use the almost unlimited opportunities provided by the digitalization in society,” said Malin Frenning, executive vice president of TeliaSonera and Head of Region Sweden, in a statement.

Ipeer AB clocked net sales of SEK 56.7 million in 2013.

Ipeer AB will be part of Cygate’s operations within TeliaSonera Sweden’s business operations, and will be part of Cygate’s business area of cloud and hosting services.
