Telenor reports revenue of NOK 29.53 bn in Q3

Telenor Group reported revenue of NOK 29.53 billion in Q3 2019 as compared with NOK 27.566 billion in Q3 2018.

“The performance in the third quarter reflects continued strong execution on our strategy, focusing on growth, efficiency and simplification. Our cost base is stable, excluding DNA and project costs,” said Sigve Brekke, president and CEO of Telenor Group.

Telenor Group’s Capex decreased to NOK 3.816 billion in Q3 2019 vs NOK 4.274 billion in the same period last year.

Telenor said its subscription and traffic revenues fell 1 percent on an organic basis and reported revenues increased 7 percent to NOK 29.5 billion. Telenor’s revenues in Pakistan dips significantly.

Opex increased by NOK 0.6 billion, but was stable excluding DNA and project costs related to the DNA acquisition and the Axiata merger discussions. Reported Opex increased by NOK 0.9 billion or 10 percent.

EBITDA decreased by 7 percent or NOK 0.9 billion on an organic basis, primarily due to the development in Pakistan. Reported EBITDA before other items was NOK 12.1 billion with an EBITDA margin of 41 percent.
