Indosat selects Lithium as social business partner

Telecom Lead Asia: Indosat, Indonesia’s
telecommunications network and service provider has selected Lithium
Technologies as its social business partner. Lithium will develop a vibrant
community to consumers of Indosat.

 

  Social and mobile platforms allow companies to
invite customers to play a totally different role in the company. Instead of
being just customers, they now can become extended members of their favorite
brand companies, providing valuable services for other customers and the
company. Indosat clearly recognizes the crucial role community plays in
providing even better service and value to customers,” said Erik Meijer, chief
commercial officer at Indosat.

 

Lithium Technologies has also opened its Singapore
regional headquarters, along with its Sydney office focused on the
Australia-New Zealand market.

 

The social media company said that the establishment of these
two key regional offices affirms Lithium’s strong commitment to growing its
Asia-Pacific business.

 

Apart from Indosat, Lithium also serves its services to
Optus, Telstra and Vodafone Australia.

 

Social, mobile and cloud have changed how companies must
deliver the customer experience. Consumers in Asia-Pacific are incredibly
connected and their adoption of social, mobile and cloud technologies will
clearly surpass that of other geographies,” said Rob Tarkoff, president and
chief executive officer of Lithium.

 

Lithium offers Social Customer Suite to the operators
that enable them to meet the challenges of increasing consumer expectations and
rapidly rising service costs.

 

Indosat sells 2,500 telecom towers to Tower Bersama

 

In February, Indosat sold 2,500 telecommunication towers
to PT Tower Bersama Infrastructure and will lease back the towers in a $519
million deal.
