sustain its rural wireline connections installed before April, 2002.

“The support to BSNL should be continued for two years for sustenance of
rural wire-line connections, installed before April 1, 2002 with effect from
July 18, 2011. The amount of support may be Rs 1,500 crore for the first year
and Rs 1,250 crore for the second year,” said TRAI in its recommendation.
