Idea Cellular has revealed that Idea Money has more than 11.8 million Prepaid Payment Instrument (PPI) mobile wallet customers till June 30, 2017.
Idea Cellular added 0.7 million new wallet customers during the quarter ended June 30, 2017. Idea Cellular aims increase the number of active PPI digital wallet users.
Idea Money wallet has achieved Domestic Money Remittance (DMR) of Rs 4,104 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2018.
Idea Cellular is offering mobile money services to non-data users through its retailers.
Idea Cellular launched mobile money services in July 2014 and currently operates through retailer service points in 17 Circles. The company is acquiring new mobile wallet customers digitally through IMCSL Web and IMCSL App across Pan India.
Idea Money wallet is also available on Android and iOS platform and can be opened with minimum KYC for balance up to Rs 20,000. The company offers both cash and web loading through net banking into the wallets.
