TRAI conducted Independent Drive Tests (IDTs) through its agency on three highways and four rail routes to assess the network quality of mobile service providers for voice service only.
Dimapur to Joarhat highway
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of 2 percent of Drop Call Rate except BSNL and Vodafone Idea. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL.
Dwarka to Somnath highway
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL and Vodafone Idea.
Hosangabad to Jabalpur highway
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate except BSNL, Vodafone Idea and Airtel. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL.
Mumbai to Goa highway
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate except BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL and Vodafone Idea.
Siliguri to Farakka highway
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate except BSNL, Airtel and Vodafone Idea. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL.
Agartala to Lumding rail route
All the mobile operators did not meet the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate. Only Vodafone Idea met the benchmark of >95 percent of CSSR.
Ahmedabad to Bhuj rail route
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate except Airtel and BSNL. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR.
Bhopal to Khajuraho rail route
All the mobile operators have met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate except Airtel, BSNL, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except Airtel, BSNL and Vodafone Idea.
Durgapur to Patna rail route
Only Airtel has met the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except BSNL.
Falakata to Guwahati rail route
All the mobile operators have failed to meet the benchmark of ~2 percent of Drop Call Rate. All the service providers have met the benchmark of ~95 percent of CSSR except Airtel, BSNL and Vodafone Idea.
