Etisalat showcase Mobile Baby Service in association with Great Connection

In association with Great Connection, Etisalat is demonstrating the
innovative Mobile Baby service. The service will add a new dimension to mobile
healthcare service delivery in the UAE by enabling remote medical diagnostics
for pre-natal healthcare.

Mobile Baby will enable medical practitioners to
send ultrasound images, video clips and 3D scans to referring physicians for
remote medical diagnostics. The application works directly from ultrasound
machines, with images delivered to any mobile phone via SMS, MMS
and
email.

Great Connection’s
technology is based on global imaging standards and it works for all types of
ultrasounds and X-rays. Mobile Baby is the first application in a portfolio of
services in image conversion from Great Connection.

Besides being used for
additional medical advice, the service will also enable expecting parents to share their pregnancy scan experience and
ultrasound images of their baby with family and friends around the world at the
click of a button.

The Mobile Baby service, will enhance pre-natal healthcare through
immediate availability and low-cost transmission of high-quality images and
video clips from the womb, which is not only an innovative use of technology,
but also relevant for our large base of expatriate customers, who might prefer
to give birth to their babies in their home countries.

“Etisalat is also forging key relationships with companies in the
medical device, pharmaceutical and health service industries to introduce
innovative and relevant mobile healthcare solutions in the UAE,” said Abdulla
Ebrahim Al Ahmed, senior vice president, Business Solutions at Etisalat.
