Aircel bagged spectrum in 5 circles – mainly for expanding its reach and improving quality.
Uninor focused on its existing circles, while adding Assam to its kitty.
Reliance Communications, promoted by Anil Ambani, has bagged spectrum for Mumbai circle.
Vodafone and Bharti Airtel secured spectrum for Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai circles in the 900 MHz band, while Idea Cellular bought spectrum in Kolkata circle.
