Airtel Q1 employee addition lowest in last 12 months

Airtel employee addition in the first quarter of fiscal 2014 was the lowest in the last 12 months. The telecoms added 332 resources in Q1.

In the fourth quarter of FY 2013, Airtel added 3,120 employees.

In June 2013, Airtel employee base stood at 26,042 compared with 25,710 in March 2013, 22,590 in December 2012, 20,749 in September 2012 and 20,360 in June 2012.

Airtel added 1,841 resources in Q3 and 389 in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, Airtel on Wednesday said its revenue rose 9 percent and profit decreased 10 percent in Q1 FY 2014.
