Airtel makes investment in upgrading network in Delhi NCR

Airtel deal with Loop Mobile
Mobile operator Bharti Airtel has made investment in upgrading its telecom network in Delhi NCR region.

Project Leap, Bharti Airtel’s Rs 60,000 crore investment program in 3 years, is aiming to enhance customer experience by making investment in telecom networks and other areas.

Bharti Airtel has deployed Dual Carrier technology to combine the spectrum in two 5MHz carriers in the 2100 MHz band – for the first time in Delhi NCR – to enhance network capacity through efficient usage.

Faster data speeds, better voice quality, and improved network coverage – indoors and outdoors are the result from the deployment of Dual Carrier technology.

Dual Carrier technology deployment will assist mobile phone users to enjoy 4G like data speeds even when they are on the 3G. Airtel said the technology will help in optimizing the engagement between the network and mobile devices, offering extended battery life on their mobile devices.

“With Dual Carrier technology, we will be able to deliver a seamless 4G experience across NCR. We would like to thank our customers for their cooperation during the network upgrade and invite them to experience our network,” said Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO – Delhi/NCR, Bharti Airtel.

Bharti Airtel is the largest mobile operator in Delhi NCR with 11.43 million customers and offers 4G, 3G and 2G services in India’s capital. Airtel is ahead of Vodafone, Idea Cellular, Reliance Jio, Reliance Communications, etc.
