R&M installs cabling solution at Narodowy National Stadium for Euro 2012

Telecom Lead Europe: Swiss cabling major R&M has
provided the freenet cabling solutions to the Narodowy National Stadium in
Warsaw for Euro 2012.

We understand the importance of secure data
transfer at a high speed in order to broadcast the lovely game, real time. This
project is a fantastic example to be quoted to our prospective customers, which
will time and again prove the quality of R&M,” said Gaurav Ahuwalia,
managing director at R&M.

The installation of cabling solutions provides
uninterrupted and real-time broadcasting of the game with its top-quality
products and paves the way for new football and sports stadium.

The company said that it was selected for its flexible
modular systems and simple installation and readiness for the future
challenges.

The installation is built upon 72-fiber single mode optic
cables, category OS2. The redundant cabling is led through separate routes to
minimize the risk of failure. The FO rings link four data centers in which the
entire IT infrastructure is also provided as a redundant replica.

The company also provided Cat 6 Real10 cable for the
installation. The Cat 6 Real10 cable supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The cable connects applications located further away such
as cameras, screens, some access points and control systems via FO duplex
connections with SCRJ/APC connectors. These connectors are characterized not
only by top performance but are also able to ensure environmental protection up
to IP67 level which in terms of the stadium was crucial.
