MWC 2015: Huawei demos smart city, M2M solutions

Huawei has showcased Safe City solution, collaborative Cloud solution for enterprises, M2M-based energy efficiency management solution, and the digital journey and intelligent bus solution.

Huawei’s Safe City solution provides broadband network coverage to connect HD cameras and sensors for protection. The solution includes LTE multimedia trunking system that supports emergency response and is compatible with video cloud, intelligent analysis, video conferencing, and voice trunking systems. Huawei has deployed Safe City solution in more than 100 cities across 30 countries.

The company said its Collaborative Cloud solution integrates applications, networks and terminals to provide cloud-based video communications and collaboration. It also enables mobile office services to enhance the operational efficiency of enterprise branches and SMEs.

Hong Kong-based telecom operator Pacific Century CyberWorks (PCCW) has deployed Collaborative Cloud solution to provide its customers with HD video communication services. In addition, deployed in conjunction with the Huawei AR G3 devices, the solution has helped Vodafone and Telecom Italia reduce its total cost of ownership (TCO).

Huawei Smart City solutions at MWC 2015

Huawei provides an open M2M service quality management platform to keep users informed about energy consumption levels and uses diverse control policies to enable remote and centralized energy efficiency management. Australian telecom operator Optus has deployed the M2M solution to help The University of Melbourne manage and reduce energy consumption by 62.5 percent.

Transportation companies in various countries such as Bus Online in China and BizkaiBus in Spain have deployed Huawei’s Digital Journey solution
